I know, I know, the last thing anyone needs is another coffee mug. Yet, here I am making . . . coffee mugs.
Because here’s the thing: I believe the things we use every day matter. Minimalists or not, we bring items into our homes and we end up looking a those items every single day. Like it or not, they become the stage props of our lives. This is why I’ve become so picky about what I bring into our house.
And this is why I make coffee mugs.
I believe in putting artful, fun, practical items out into the world. So what does that mean for me? It means items that remind me of the people and things I love and admire: Maria Montessori. Dolly Parton. Judaism. Halloween. Right now, these are my muses, and I’m proud to put some damn fine mugs out into the world.
My Dolly Parton inspired Mug of Ambition is selling like hotcakes right now. Have you seen it? You can find it here.
Here’s my punny Montessori mug. What do you think?
Is there a mug you wish you had, but it hasn’t been created yet? Do you have a favorite mug? I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
